Gaviscon Advance forms a ‘raft’ over the stomach contents, which helps prevent acid coming back up into the oesophagus (food pipe). Gaviscon Advance contains double the concentration of sodium alginate and forms a stronger more resilient raft compared to Gaviscon Original.
